Dream – Read – Timeout
8th January, 3020
Beep, green light. Ready.
Rachel felt on top of earth today.
She had spent day and night working on her hybrid robots.
Alpha beta and gamma.
Rachel, has always believed there is more to life than LIFE and MACHINES!
Three test features for three universes she had been researching for.
.
Alpha was ready to go – ‘Do you remember alpha? What is your salient feature?’
‘I read only!’ The robotic voice was Rachel’s favorite tune.
‘Good job Alpha’ – she rechecked the instructions once more.
Read everything, surroundings, environments and people’s minds!
.
Beta was so close to her and it had been so well researched that she just read the instructions to feel the soothing idea once more – she had no doubt in its correctness.
“I have to pause, if anything’s not working in favor and timeout”
Perfect! She murmured to herself.
.
‘Gama, you are my finest experiment’- Rachel had developed this habit. She only talked to herself or her robots.
–
“I am the dreamer- Anything but real”
I wish! sigh!
.
Rachel was ready to send them; her first hybrids out to the robotic competition. She had given her blood sweat and tears to this research.
.
-Dreamer.
This one had the highest risk! She created it with the least percentage of human features. She plugged in the unreal and switched the hybrid percentages.
Now, when I think of it the only human thing in this was the ability to dream! Rest is history. Humans had to carry so much baggage with dreaming. It kills the purpose of it.
Dreamer was different!
She programmed her dreams to be infinite. She turned the dreams of her creation to reality with no ‘if’ conditions.
-Reader
The most robotic out of the three. The hybrid percentage was flipped with this one.
She programmed it in a way most humans who chose not to be free are. She inserted in the observing instructions. Listening feature was inserted as feedback being fed to him.
She had deliberately kept the mind reading capability in this. she wanted to test the reality she had been missing in her life the most. She always thought if she could read minds, she would do so much wonders in humanity.
Little did she know about the magnificence and chaos that is human mind! Unlike hers, which was more of a brain.
-Timeout
This was tested most number of the times. 0 1. 0 1.
The first 50 attempts were not successful. The error each time occurred when the robot resumed. It went back to the same old features.
Just like humans, they don’t learn, and life keeps them landing back to same lessons, same environments.
But this had to be different. Timeout was not supposed to come back to follow same instruction until and unless these instructions showed different outputs.
Also, every time recreating unfavorable environments for testing this feature was also the tedious for her. it was nerve wrecking experience.
But then this was her prized experiment.
‘I thought Dreamer must have won out of these , also considering the times in which they were created’. Gamma – 309876543 stated with surprise.
‘No, beta won. I consider him still winning.’ Beta – 01786759 had still the winning streak in it being passed on to him for his winning ancestor clone robots.
‘But I have one question, Timeout – 01786759 or should I call you Beta – 01786759. Why were they created for three universes’ why not one’?
‘They were not supposed to co-exist. Their human features won’t ever be able to digest this intermix’.
